The Activity Department at Groton Community Health Care Center offers a comprehensive, ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests of our residents. The calendar of events is designed to offer leisure activities that provide a balance of physical, mental and psychosocial stimulation for each resident in order to enhance the quality of life of each individual.
Each resident is assessed on admission for his/her activity preferences, and in addition to individualized programs, we offer group activities for all levels of resident functioning, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Bingo
- Resident birthday party
- Daycare children visits
- Crafts
- Exercise
- Music programs
- Pet therapy
- Social hour
